Default Office 2003 writes temp files to subfolder of Temporary Internet F

Is that really how it works, or is my install of Office 2003 just messed up?
seems like a silly place to put it, under Temporary Internet Files.

Hello customer,

It is a by-design behavior that Office will write temp files in a folder.
These temp files are the data sources to help you recover the files in case
Office programs quit unexpectedly. If you do not set a location for
AutoRecover files, Word places them in the temporary directory.

For more information about the Autorecover feature, please see the articles
below:

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Ada Pan

Thanks. I just found it kinda odd that they went into a subfolder of
Temporary Internet Files.

I'm all set, I guess I was just surprised more than anything of the location.
Thanks.
