Default Sharing contacts on same PC Different Profiles

OK this should be pretty easy, but I guess its just a brain freeze.

I have my contacts listed in outlook 2003. (Windows XP)

I set up another profile for my wife to use her email.

Other than exporting, shouldn’t I be able to share my address book?

Is it just pointing to the right data file in some option table?

This should be simple, but I wouldn’t be posting if I had found a way
yet!

Many thanks in advance for your suggestions.

John

Address Book? Outlook has no address book.
You can set each profile to use the same Outlook Data file if you wish, but
then all Outlook data will be shared. Is that what you want?

Thanks for reply Russ.
OK, how about contacts?
What I'm trying to do is keep our email messages in individual personal
files, hence different profiles. But share the same contacts and
calendar (folders?.)

Because it's not on an exchange server, the "share" isn't highlighted.

Does that make sense?

Without Exchange, sharing is all or none. You share all your data or none of
it. You can easily populate your respective Contact Folders the same.

Thanks again Russ.
I exported my contacts list and imported to hers.
The more I dealt with it, the more sense it made to export/import, keep
the common addresses, lose the ones I used that she wouldn't, and have
her then manage her own list.

Next time, just open the other PST and copy from it. Export/Import loses
data.
