Outlook 2003 & CanoScan Toolbox Faxing
Hi,
I have a customer who has just installed Office SBE. Now they want to fax from their scanner (CanoScan 9900F). When I try to set up Outlook as the default in the Tollbox it will only show Outlook Express as an option. Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue? -- John Harris (Harry) Computer Troubleshooters - Hornby Christchurch New Zealand |

In what Toolbox? This sounds like neither an Outlook nor a fax question. It
sounds like a question for the third party manufacturer. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "John Harris" wrote in message ... Hi, I have a customer who has just installed Office SBE. The question is about faxing from the CanoScan Toolbox (Canon Scanner)
through Outlook 2003. The client was doing this quite happily using Outlook 2000 but upgraded to Office SBE 2003 last Thursday. They called me on Tuesday because they couldn't get it to work so I thought I would ask the question in here. -- John Harris (Harry) Computer Troubleshooters - Hornby Christchurch New Zealand "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... You'll most likely need to check with the manufacturer. Third party issues
aren't covered in this group so I doubt we'll run across anyone else who is using that product. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "John Harris" wrote in message ... Actually, I do use a Canon Canoscan but have never faxed from it. You are
correct, however, that it is up to the third party provider to solve the problem since, as you know, Outlook 2003 provides no inbuilt faxing abilities as Outlook IMO did with Symantec WinFax SE. I think that is where the OP's problem started. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
