Default Playing WMV on laptop to LCD projector

Help!! I have a presentation tomorrow using a WMV file. When my
laptop is connected to the projector the laptop display projects fine.
But when I play the file only the Media Player "skin"/frame is visible
via the projector and the area where the video would be is black,
although the video looks fine on the laptop.
