Cell conditional formatting
I'm trying to conditionally format a cell by comparing
dates. I wanted to know how to refer the date of the cell to the date of the day. For example how would I format a cell by saying "if the date of this cell is less than the date today then...". I know that it could refer it to another cell which has the date today but that means I have to manually change the date of the reference cell. In short I wanted to know how to use the computer's calendar (timer)as a reference for formatting a cell. Thanks in advance! Dan |

Cell conditional formatting
Thanks Frank. I tried your suggestion but it seems like
excel does not correlate today as a date but as a name so I still cannot do what I wanted to do. Do you have any other suggetions? Again thanks in advance. I found it. The syntax should include the () at the end of
today and today should not be inside quotation marks. Again Vielen Dank! Dan -----Original Message----- Thanks Frank.
