Default Macros created in Word

Are recorded macros in Word unstable? I can't figure out why a macro I have used for months is no longer working. Others in my office have created their own macros, and they will call me from time to time and tell me that theirs aren't working any longer either, and they have to re-record them.

What is the error message? What are the symptoms?

To answer your question: macros do what they are programmed to do. If
they are programmed as unstable, then they will be.

Recording of macros may not be doing what you think it does.

For example, some of the secretaries in my firm recorded a most simple macro which allowed them to print the current page (File / Print / Current Page). I don't know what would cause this macro to suddenly stop working.
