Problems with section headers etc
Im trying to explain to one of my users why he keeps running into
problems..... I hope you can help, he has really stumped me this time *sigh* A document with multiple sections. Section A is one column with its own header. Section B follows straight after it with 2 columns and its own header. The headers are not linked to previous section. When deleting sectionB, the layout of section A changes to two columns with the incorrect header for that section. Why? and how can this be avoided? Also, does anyone know if section behaviour has changed between officeXP and office2007? it doesn't seem likely but I have no way of testing as I have no access to officeXP anymore. Is it possible to have a "style" like setting to apply to sections? Something we can view and modify as required? |

Each section break stores the formatting of the *preceding* section, which explains what you are seeing. This behavior is the same as that of previous versions of Word. For more, see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...thSections.htm. Is it possible to have a "style" like setting to apply to sections? Something we can view and modify as required? No. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP |
