Is it possible to turn the grid off of only one page?

Not really as it is a document wide setting....
however, there is workaround
open the page shapesheet
menu window - Show shapesheet
and set XGridSpacing and YGridSpacing to a large value.

Set the XGridSpacing and YGridSpacing to 10.

Ah, you are using inches! I was working in mm, 1000 being more
appropriate in my case.
