Need Help Urgently

I am in urgent need of help, i am not very familar with access , and i need
someone that can help me out with the situation i need but can explain it to
me in simple terms. I have to desgin a data base for incoming and outgoing
correspondence. All the correspondence has two sets of filing numbers one set
refers to one companys filing system and the other refers to the other
companys filing system. Now what i need to do is when i am filing in a form
for the data base i want to be able to choose one number from a drop down
list forexample A0020 and for that to generate the corresponding number for
the other compamy in a different filed for example 401.2.3 (Which would
appear in a separte field once you choose A0020)
Please can anyone help me out

We can most certainly help you. First things first, you need to identify
what all of your inputs are (what you want to kepp track of) and what your
going to want to extract as information.

Basically for your type of db I figure your going to need to keep Adrress
info, phone, e-mail.... Come up with a complete list. once you have that we
can move forward in creating your table structure, queries and forms.

something that you might require a considerable amount of back and forth.
