Default Outlook 2003 - Installing

After upgrading to MS OFfice Proff 2003 from 2002, when I open Outlook 2003
a box comes up, 'Installing'
But it never gets through.
I used Add/Remove to complete the repair / fix = no dice.
I installed the extra CD - Outook Contact Mgr = no dice

What is causing the install? How can it be fixed?
Outlook express does not do that and it checks spelling OK.
Thanks.
