Default Windows7 and Word 2007 mouse can not select text

I can not insert cursor or select text with mouse with a new Lenovo laptop
with Windows 2007 and Word 2007 (Outlook 2007 has same issue).
I tried running in safe mode to turn off plug ins, reloading and repairing
Office 2007, cleaning the registry and changing the registry with the Vista
fix for cursor cant select text fix.

I've the exactly the same problem, I try deleting the

it works for some minutes but the problem returns.

I've also trying reinstalling the office and the problem persist.
