Default "Not enough space on temporary disk" what does it mean?

I've been running queries off of OBDC databases and I am receiving the
following error which does not allow the query to complete. Does anyone know
what maybe causing this issue?

Your query may be trying to do too much. Perhaps you could post the SQL view
of one of the queries giving this error and indicate what the query is
intended to accomplish.
