"Preparing Data" stalls in Pivot Chart

Greetings,
I have a simple pivot chart that are reporting 30 rows of records with 15
field headers where the chart opens however not all the data will be
available. Instead, there is this message at the bottom of the window saying,
"Preparing Data" with the green string of squares signifying that Access is
working. The problem is, it stalls half way through even after waiting over
30 minutes in one instance to see the process would complete itself.

I also pulled the data out into its own database to see if there was a load
problem. I went to several other PCs in the office all of which are latest in
technology processing and performance. All experienced the same problem.

Any ideas?
