How to get rid of right angles appearing in the four corners of a

Right angles appear in the four corners of my documents when in print view.
Not sure why, but I'd like to get rid of them. (Note that they don't show up
on printed documents, but do show on files that i open - even older files
created before I started having this problem.

Any help in fixing this annoyance would be appreciated.

It worked! Not sure how, but "limited Japenese" had been enabled on my box.
All is well now - thanks a million, Herb!!!!
