Default The outlook data file personal folder has reached maximum size.

Here's the error I got from opening a .pst file inside of Outlook 2013.

"The outlook data file C:\Documents ... \outlook.pst has reached maximum size. To reduce the amount of data in this file,
select some items that you no longer need."

This file works fine under Outlook 2007 but now I'm getting this error in Outlook 2013. I can't even view anything inside of this .pst file. I can move/delete but first, I need to be able to look at those items and right now, it won't let me. Any suggestion is much appreciated.
