Default Footer overlaps text

In a report (MSAccess 2003) I have the phenomenon that the grey footer bar
overlaps the last line of text above it, such that only about half of the
heights of the letters (can also be an other fraction) are visible. This is
only on some pages. I have no idea why this happens. In the design view,
everything looks fine, with several pixels of vertical space between the
elements in question. Any idea?
