Importing a report from Word
Hi;
We have some tables with a complex format that are drawn in some Microsoft Word files.Each word document contais just 1 design that i need convert all of it as 1 report.Redesigning them takes a long time for me. In the other hand when i try to Select AllCopy each of them and paste in a blank Access report,it places on the report as an OLE object so its lay out would be fixed and i cant handle it or put a text box,label or any other control on it.(Then i have to bind the report to a table,and an OLE object is a single control so i can do nothing with it). Is there a way to bring a previously designed table on a word document, to an Access Report so that i can put some bound controls on it? Thank you in advance for your help. |

The word file is composed from some lines or rectangles.This is the lay out
of a report.There is no data in the file.How to import lines into a table? Thank you for your attention. Importing a report from Word
You can't import lines into a table. Tables contain data and nothing else.
Can you not produce a report with those same lines? -- Doug Steele, Microsoft Access MVP http://I.Am/DougSteele (no private e-mails, please) "Mota" wrote in message ... Importing a report from Word
The report has a standard lay out and shape,given to me as a .doc format.
What i want is to use that drawn shape on an Access report,rather than redesign it that takes a long time for me.But it sounds like its not possible to bring a drawn shape ( i mean a table borders) from a word file to an Access report. Thank you. "Douglas J. Steele" wrote in message ... You can't import lines into a table. Tables contain data and nothing else.
