how do i add up 3 columns to get a total

Default how do i add up 3 columns to get a total

i have data in columns g3 to g11,h3to h11,i3 to i11 in column j i need to
total from all the other columns

In cell J3 enter the following:

=G3+H3+I3

then copy cell J3 from J4 thru J11

Or, if you want the total of all the cells:

=SUM(G3:I11)

Look at the SUM fuction in Excel help.
