Default Problem with incoming mail.

I have Outlook 2007. Never had a problem with it. Today, it is giving me an
error every time I open it. This error makes Outlook shut down or restart. I
tried repairing...nothing. I tried updates....nothing. So I tried with no
internet. At this point it will open the program like normal and let me do
anything except send and receive. So I would think that means the messages it
is trying to download are giving me the error. Does anyone know how I can
manually stop Outlook from picking up these messages?

Thanks in advance.

So what's the error? We can't do anything without the EXACT wording of the
error.

The error is the key to the problem and ultimately resolving it. Please post
the error in full, including any error numbers.

Try loading Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe") and retest while
you are connected to the network and Outlook is not in offline mode. That
will eliminate loading of any add-ons that you installed into Outlook.

Try rebooting Windows into its Safe Mode (with networking) and retest.

It is possible the error is at the server in that it cannot deliver a
corrupted e-mail. Use the webmail interface to your e-mail account and move
all items out of your Inbox (or just read them using the webmail client and
then delete them). If Outlook doesn't get the UNIDENTIFIED error any more
then move an item, one at a time, back into the Inbox using the webmail
client and then use Outlook to poll your e-mail client to get just the one
e-mail, then repeat until you find the corrupted e-mail (and then delete
that one).

Regarding error or status messages:
- Do NOT omit the message.
- Do NOT describe the message.
- Do NOT summarize the message.
- Do NOT paraphrase the message.
- Do NOT truncate the message.
- Do show the ENTIRE message (but munge or star out personal info,
like your username in an e-mail address but not the domain).
