automatically building a document in word
I want to create a template for surgical procedures. I
want the template to have buttons that I can press and the appropriate file automatically inserted into the text. Multiple files have to be inserted into the final document so that various variations to the operative procedure can be used. The buttons need to be invisible in the printed text. Is this possible to do in word 2003 or is there another product that this can be done in and then converted to word? |

Fellow MVP Bill Coan has built an application that allows you to do this
sort of thing. Take a look at his website at http://www.wordsite.com/products/dpdas.htm Here is what one user in your profession had to say about it: "DataPrompter 2003 will be the centerpiece of our new electronic patient records system, using its document assembly capability to manage patient notes, referral communications, informational and instructional handouts, etc. All of this is being accomplished at minimum cost and with virtually no learning curve on the part of the staff. We're expecting a substantial reduction in "pilot errors" and a huge productivity boost. Congratulations on another winner." William M. Unsolicited questions forwarded directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis. Hope this helps Doug Robbins - Word MVP "scheinz" wrote in message ...
