No dial tone message
Since I switched from an analog phone service to a digital one
(Brighthouse), my faxmodem dials the fax number but cannot hear the dial tone. Is there any way to work around this problem? |

Of course not. Fax only uses analog phone lines.

Are they essential a VoIP service? Some VSP's provide Fax capability (FoIP)
using the T.38 protocol but they need to implement it and you need an ATA that support T.38. The particular one I use in Australia supports Fax. it's worthwhile checking if Fax is supported before signing up. -- Bill R MVP "jay" wrote in message ...
