Default default location for slide templates

I am trying to save a new design template to the default so it appears in the
master list (to the right) when I go to select a Master Design. Microsoft's
instruction SAY it will automatically save to the template default location
AND that it must be there to be useable. However, my file is not saving to
the default.

Does anyone know the filepath to the folder for design templates (POT) so
that I can save this and make it available for future use?
