Default Auto recovery problem with MS Word 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1

On a Windows 2000 terminal server some user accounts have a problem with the
Word auto recovery.

Every second time Word is started it comes with the notification that a
document is recovered.
I can save the file if I would decide to keep it, I click on save the
document is saved.
Now I close word and reopen it. The auto recovery notification remains silent.
Now I close word again and reopen it. Word comes with the same auto recovery
notification.
The document which Word wants to recover is located on a cd-rom.

Under two accounts I have solved the problem.

In c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\temp\ I delete a
folder with a random number, one time it was 39, the second time it was 44.
After that I opened Word en clicked on the auto recovery notification.
Word crashed with the following error:

After I’d chosen to not send the crash report to Microsoft Word continued
auto recovery.
I've saved the document.
After that action the problem didn't come back for the specific user.

On two user accounts the problem persists. I think if Word does not crash
while the auto recovery is in progress the problem will remain.
I can’t force Word to crash, can someone help me out?

I've searched the MS Knowledge base, and red MS KB 316950 but can't find any
solution.

Go into the registry and search for the word "resiliency". when you find
it, there will be a key called "document recovery". Delete everything in
this key. Each version of Word puts this key in a different place, but
it should be somewhere under HKLM\software. Once everything in this key
is deleted, the problem will go away.

You need to search the regisrty and remove the folders under resiliency
for all users.
