Word 2007 - Documenting Style Properties
G'Day: Noticed some earlier posts around how to 'import' Styles into a
document for Word 2003. Can anyone provide similar help for Word 2007? I confirm I can print the style properties, however I want to be able to save/print them to a document. Many thanks. -- Kim Barrie |

It is not clear what exactly you are trying to achieve.
You can move styles between documents using the organizer (ALT+F8 Organizer) You can print style descriptions from Office Button Print Print What Styles -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Kim in Melb-Oz wrote: G'Day: Noticed some earlier posts around how to 'import' Styles into a document for Word 2003. Word 2007 - Documenting Style Properties
Thanks Graham: Yep, I understand how to print the style properties however I
need to save them as a file so that I can include them as part of a company style guide (i.e. not just print a hard copy). Any suggestions? OK - a bit more complex, but do-able.
If you have not already done so, re-run Office setup and install Microsoft Office Document Imaging, which will install a 'printer' driver called - would you believe - Microsoft Office Document Image Writer. Print the Styles to this driver and save the result as an MDI file. Close Word From Microsoft Office Tools select Microsoft Document Imaging and open the MDI file you have saved. Send the text to Word. Format the resulting document as you prefer. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Kim in Melb-Oz wrote: Thanks Graham: Yep, I understand how to print the style properties however I need to save them as a file so that I can include them as part of a company style guide (i.e. not just print a hard copy). If the user has the .xps printer and the wherewithal to open .xps files in
Internet Explorer, it might be simpler to a. print the document styles to the .xps printer b. open the .xps document in IE c. Copy/paste the text and reformat it a bit. -- Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk "Graham Mayor" wrote in message ... OK - a bit more complex, but do-able.
