Default Microsoft Fax encountered an internal error

Using Windows XP, Microsoft Fax 5.1 (as found on Windows XP disk), Outlook
2002

I am sending a merge fax from Maximizer 7.0. All works well until the faxed
document ends up in Outlook "Outbox"

Push "send receive" and the message leaves the outbox and a new message
arrives in the "In Box"
********************************
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject:
Sent: 8/24/2004 7:23 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'FAX: 1 888 xxxxxx' on 8/24/2004 7:23 AM
The Microsoft Fax transport failed to deliver the message to the recipient.
The Microsoft Fax encountered an internal error, and failed to send the fax.
***************************
xxxxxxx has been substituted to keep my contacts actual phone # off the net.

I have tried uninstalling the fax, restarting, reinstalling and the same
error comes up.

Any ideas out there.

What is Maximizer 7.0 and what makes you think it can be used to perform fax
merges with Outlook? Only Word can do that, and then only barely.

Hi,

You are sending a message as a FAX from Maximaizer 7.0, a mail
software?

If so, you may "print" your new message selecting Microsoft FAX from
print dialog. This makes your message be handled over to Microsoft FAX
of Windows XP leaving it in FAX console not in Maximizer 7 sent box.
