Default error message when trying to save photos

Suddenly, when trying to save jpeg files in Outlook Express,
I get an error message stating, "The system cannot find the
file specified." I was able to save movie clips, however.

Default error message when trying to save photos

How are you trying to save the photos?

File, Save Attachments?
Right clicking the displayed image?
Clicking on the paper clip in the Preview Pane Header?
Right clicking the file name in the attachments line of the message
window?
Drag-and-drop from the attachments line of the message window?
Some other method?

If you try a different method, does that work?

Did you make any changes around the time the problem started such as
installing updates to any programs, especially security programs?

Some of the photos are not attachments--they are in the body of the e-mail
message (from Kodak digital camera). I've never had a problem right-clicking
& SAVE AS jpeg file before. I don't recall upgrading anything within the
past few weeks.
I tried File/Save As & it didn't work. (Same problem with actual attachments)

Switch to read in Plain Text mode in Tools, Options, Read, Read all
message in plain text. If already viewing the problem message, you'll
need to switch to another message then back for it to take effect.

The try File, Save Attachments and see if that works.

Are you by chance running IE7?

Are you running Windows Defender?

What anti-virus are you running?
