Default Change label size

Howdy! Way back when, I created reports for mailing labels using the label
wizard.

Is there a way that I can change the label size/format (the product number
and manufacturer)?

Thanks!

If you want to change the size, just open up the report in design view and
move the width and height to the size of your new label dimensions. then
click File, Page setup and adjust the columns to however many you need for
your new labels. No need for the product number and mfg.

Thanks. So the lables are currently in a single column down the length of the
page and now I want the labels 3 across. Do I copy my label set up and paste
it twice across the page?

Stephanie,
It would probably be faster to just create a new label report, using
the new label number.

Your current label report should be wide enough for just one column of
labels.
If you are willing to work a bit, measure *accurately* the new label
height and width.

Go into the Report in design view and set the label to those
measurements. You might have to also increase the detail height and
report width.
Then click on File + Page Setup + Columns
Set the Column count to the number of columns in the new label sheet
(3).
Set the Column Layout to either Down then Across or Across then Down.
Save the changes.

Run the report in preview.
If it looks OK, print it (just one sheet), on regular paper.
Hold the paper up to the new label sheet in front of a lamp.
If the labels align OK you are done.
If they move up the sheet, or down, you need to adjust the detail
size.

Have fun.

Stephanie,

reread my post - I said go to page setup and enter number of columns. your
report in design view should look really small (for instance, 1/2" x 1 3/4"
for Avery 8167), and only cover one label. But when you specify the number
of columns (for the 8167, for instance, you enter 4), it will print the label
the way you want.
