Ok..now the weird stuff, I went to the link you provided and when I tried to
run "regedit32" the system said it could not be found so I did a search of
the HD but nothing found. I realize the regedit32 is the registry I need to
edit but not found so I went through the procedures doing "regedit" but still
can not send email with consistency from Outlook. Re-setting the Protected
Storage System with "regedit" did stop the password pop-up everytime I tried
to send/receive. I can go to my providers web site and send to myself with no
issues and receive in Outlook everytime but when I send from Outlook it is
still iffy at best. Another thing is when I go to accounts and test it still
comes up "unable to send, verify email address". My system is "Microsoft
Windows XP" "Media Center Edition" "Version 2002" "Service Pack 2"

Because it's name is "regedt32". No "i".

Of coures, sending from the web site and sending via Outlook are completely
separate actions and being able to do the former tells you nothing about
being able to do the latter.

address". My system is "Microsoft Windows XP" "Media Center Edition"

Try enabling diagnostic logging in Outlook to see what's happening between
Outlook and your server when you try to send.

I reset the "protected storage" with REGEDT and it is working now, thanks.
