Save as PDF Breaks Relative Links to Other PDFs
I have a bunch of visio files with hyperlinks to several pdf documents.
All hyperlinks are relative links (also checked the relative checkbox). When I save the visio drawings as pdf files using save-as (or publish as pdf), the relative hyperlinks gets saved as hard-links including the path of the visio file itself (ie. file:///c:\documents and settings\username\.... etc) The very same result is also when I publish as xps document. On the document properties, I can enter a base path, yet, this is then an http path, and not relative, and also not appropriate. Is there a way to trick the SaveasPDF Add-in so that it respects the relative paths of the hyperlinks in visio upon publishing as pdf? |

This sounds like the limitation mentioned in KB923700.

Save as PDF Breaks Relative Links to Other PDFs
Hi James,
none of the conditions on KB923700 apply. The file saves fine as web page, and the links remain relative as entered. The relative links get broken when using the SaveasPDF / SaveasXPS function (Addin?) of Visio 2007. "James W." wrote: This sounds like the limitation mentioned in KB923700. -- James W. |

Actually saving in the PDF format is not isolated to Visio. What happens if
the same scenario was setup with a Word file are the results the same? -- James W. "Saracoglu" wrote: Hi James, none of the conditions on KB923700 apply.
