"A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug?...
I have reninstalled Outllook 2002 in Windows ME. When I open the program, I
get this error message: "A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line: 297 Error: Class not registered YES NO" I answer "YES" and I get "Just-In-Time Debugging Please select a debugger Possible Debuggers: New Instance of Microsoft Script Editor... YES NO" I answer "YES" and later I get: "Vs7jit has caused an error in unknown Vs7jit will not close If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer The following programs will be debugged: Script CLOSE" Then, I get: "Step Into Remote Procedure Call..." Then, "Microsfot Visual Studio Debugger Class not registered BREAK CONTINUE ..." If I chose CONTINUE, I just get the same message as above. If I chose BREAK, I get a window with a lot of text, and highlighted is: "document.all.dateScript.innerHTML = windows. external.GETDATe (): When I close this, I get: Microsoft Script Editor Do you want to stop debugging? YES CONTINUE "Continue" produces nothing. "YES" starts me all over again with the same message as at the top: "Error A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug?... So, then I am in an endless loop of error messages |

vs7jit is the J++ debugger. According to
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=k...042&sid=global, it may break when office xp is uninstalled. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Author, Google and Other Search Engines (Visual QuickStart Guide) Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Join OneNote Tips mailing list: http://www.onenote-tips.net/ "Robert Judge" wrote in message ... Diane:
Thank you for your response. I had reinstalled Windows ME, and then the problem occured when I tried to reinstall Outlook 2002. I notice that Outlook 2002 refers to itself as part of XP. However I never "uninstalled" Outlook 2002 (aka Office XP?), I just reinstalled Windows ME. In any case, the link to which you referred me tells me to resolve this problem by copying Vs7jit.exe from the Office XP installation CD-ROM. However, I don't have an Office XP installation CD-ROM, just a copy of Outlook 2002. Please advise further. Thank you for your attention. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: vs7jit is the J++ debugger. Dear Andreas:
I'm sorry, but on the page to which you referred me, I see no reference to the Runtime error about which I asked. Please advise further.
