My file tab is missing!
I have all of my general tabs across the top when I open Word, but the file
tab is missing. Help! |

Tools - Customize - Toolbars tab. In the list of toolbars, click on Menu

Tried that...no luck.

Try the steps shown he
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm Note: I'm assuming you're using Word 2003 or earlier. If you're using Word 2007, there *is* no file tab.
