I run my mail merge list and it drops the leading zero in our zip codes. Why?

Zip Codes
Because Word treats them as numbers, not "text"
Assuming they are 5-digit US ZIP codes, if you use Alt-F9 to view the field codes and see something like { MERGEFIELD myzip } type in \#00000 so it looks like { MERGEFIELD myzip \#00000 } (Typically you can delete anything that looks like \*Mergeformat ) Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk houndgrey wrote: I run my mail merge list and it drops the leading zero in our zip codes. Zip Codes
When you have the Mail Merge Main document open in Word, press Alt-F9
(Your ZIP code field in Word will look something like myzip until you press Alt-F9) Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk houndgrey wrote: Where do I use the Alt-F9 to view the field code? |
