Default Can't delete file

I have an .xls file that I CAN'T delete. (No matter how I
try to delete the file, the application I'm using locks
up). How do I get rid of the file?

Are you saying that deleting the file from Windows Explorer freezes up your
system?

Is this on your harddrive (or a LAN share)?

If it's on your harddrive, I'd try cleaning up the windows temp folder and
rebooting the pc.

If it's on a LAN share, then maybe rebooting the server will help.
