Default line by line typing on chart

I made a chart with 12 columns, when I type something into each column on
line, at the end of 1st line it jumps to 2nd page. I need it to go to the 2nd
line under what I just typed. Used microsoft

Microsoft what? Word? Excel? PowerPoint? And can you expand on what
you mean by 'chart'? Typically a chart is a bar graph, pie chart, etc
and I don't think that's what you are creating. If you don't know what
it's called then the steps you used to create it should work. :-)
