Default I can't reinstall MSOffice after my hard drive crashed

My Compaq Hard drived had to be replaced under warranty as it crashed.
However I am unable to re-install office from my cd as it keeps telling me
that is has been registered already. Compaq say they are only responsible for
the hardware and that any software issues are my problem. Please help.
