Default How to get the measurement of a line drawn with drawing tool

Is it possible to get a length or measurement of a line drawn with the free
form or arc tool that is to scale for a particular visio drawing?

Thanks

Visio 2002 lets you do:
View Size and position window

The "size and position window" shows information about the currently
selected shape, including what you asked for.

Other Visio versions might reveal "size and position" differently; check
the built-in help.
