Default 2nd try: Office 2k doesn't install license/reg info

I tapp'd w/DL but beynd his ?, no real help thr. Anyone else, prhps, can
help me...? Here's my post from b4 (oh, and no, I'm not installing past licns
agrmt...I'm reinstllg aftr sys crash and yes, all files - save regstry files
- r intact):

Hope you can help. Have Office 2k on Pent 4, Win 2k, 2gRAM, not installed
on boot drive, (but I tried that kind of install anyway, 2 no avail).
After
what seems to be a succesful install of the program, I attempt 2 opn Word,
or
anthr, and receive a dialog:
"Required registry information is missing and this application cannot
run.
Please rerun setup to correct this problem."
I'v alrdy tried the fixes offrd by MS on the main site, having both
changed
permissions in the registry and in the dcom, again, 2 no avail. I don't c
any othr suggests in the knowbase; any ideas wht 2 do? Thanx.
