sum of range containing formula in blanks
There are numbers in a range of cells that i need to add up but within the
range are "blanks" that are actually formulas like this =IF(OR($BX3=BA$2,$BY3=BA$2,$BZ3=BA$2,$CA3=BA$2,$CB 3=BA$2,$CC3=BA$2),$AE3,"") that were returned as blanks. when i try to add up the row, i get 0. how can i ignore the "blanks" and just add the values? |

The SUM function will ignore the formula blanks. If you have numbers in the range and are still getting a result of 0 then that means the numbers are TEXT numbers, not numeric numbers. If your formula is returning a result from AE3 then AE3 is a TEXT number. So, you need to fix the source of the problem, AE3. Is AE3 the result of a formula or is it a manually entered value? -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "cc" wrote in message ...
