Default Switchboard item disappears

Access 2000, switchboard created with the manager. I added an item (entry,
button, whatever) to a menu within the switchboard. Still within the "Edit
Switchboard Page" menu, I try to move it up in the list (with the Move Up
button), and at a certain point it disappears! For example, it is added as
the fifth item, and I want it to be the third. I hit the Move Up button
once, and all is well, but twice...disappears. I am a newbie, so I'm
expecting this is something that everyone else knows or something I've done
wrong, but I didn't see a posting for it.

Please help me.

Easier than troubleshooting the switchboard, just build a new one. Call it
switchboardII or something and start over. It sounds like something is wrong
with that one.

Thanks - I managed to get my new item to stay before getting your response,
but I noticed that the numbering on the buttons is out of sequence, and I
think my two disappeared attempts are in there somewhere hiding. Anyway, at
least now I know it is not normal, and I can rebuild it if it comes to that.
Thanks again!
