Default Time Function help

Ok so i have used the function: =IF(C5-B55/24,C5-B5-1/48)
to take a half hour off a persons shift if they have
worked 5 hours or more. but if a person works under five
hours it will not calculate any time worked in the total
column

how can i get a total hours worked to be added in the
totals column if less than 5 hours are worked?
