Index, appendix, the whole world....
ISSUE 1:
I have two tables with a one-many relationship. I have designed a report with a group header for the one side and the many side spanning to each detail section. something like: p.1 category header: food --------------------- roast beef chicken salad category header: drinks -------------------------- lemonade beer page break (using keep together: whole group) p.2 category header: salads ----------------------- chef's salad chicken salad Of cource adding or deleting records in each detail section changes the lentgh of each group, thus the page number each group resides in. Because of the lentgh of the report it would be of great help to have the first section (report header) displaying an index, showing on what page number each header is in. something like: category headers: ----------------- food page 1 drinks page 1 salads page 2 ISSUE 2: Just as above but in a many-many relationship, some records are the same between different detail sections. Awesome thing to have? an appendix showing for every single, pair, triplet, etc record, showing on what page it is mentioned. Just like MS Word!! something like: Appendix: Word Pages --------------------- Roast beef 1 chicken salad 1 ... 2 lemonade 1 beer 1 chef's salad 2 Any help is welcome. Thanx in advance. |

You might be able to manage something with a WHOLE lot of programming, but
if you're looking for something easy, I'm pretty sure there isn't one. Rob "1" 1@1 wrote in message ... ISSUE 1: I have two tables with a one-many relationship. While I'm not the one who posted the original request, thanks for the
article, Marsh. That's exactly the approach I'd been thinking of, but didn't realize Microsoft had actually documented it somewhere. Rob "Marshall Barton" wrote in message ... See if this article gives you some ideas: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;131588 -- Marsh MVP [MS Access] |
