As a long time and current user of Outlook I don't really have the
inclination to guess what you might be wondering.

Henry Ford didn't think of the car first, but he did o.k. with it.

Like I said, Outlook 2010 does this natively, using the Suggested Contacts

The use of the autocomplete folder in this way had never occurred to me.
1000 addresses is probably way beyond my needs anyhow.

Microsoft? Outlook Express does it, Outlook doesn't (or didn't). I
suspect more a case of target user.
