Default Symbols or pictures in formulas

Is there any way that I can make a picture or symbol the
result of a formula? If so, how?

A function can return only a value, so it can't return a picture. For a
symbol, format the cell in the appropriate font (e.g., Symbol or WingDings)
and return the character that corresponds, in that font, to the symbol you
wish to return.
