Default Access to Org Chart compatability

I created an organizational chart using the org chart
wizard to group people together. I built it off a access
database. If I delete a square out of the Org chart, it
reflects the changes in the database. I want to go the
other way without having to make a whole new org chart. I
was wondering if there was a way to change things in the
database and to see the changes directly in the chart. I
was wondering if there was a quick fix to it without any
coding. I am using Visio 2002 sp2 and access 2002 sp3.
Some help on this would be appreciated.

There is no functionality in Visio to update an existing Organization Chart
from the original data source if the reporting structure has been changed.
Your only option is to re-run the wizard to create a new Org Chart.

I add new people by copying an existing shape on a page, then 'select database record', and replacing the name with the name to be added.

To identify the delta between names on your org chart, and names in your Access database, you could use the Report function in Visio. This lets you generate an Excel file, which you can then import into Access, and analyse with a simple query.

A bit cumbersome - but a great deal easier than re-creating org charts from scratch every time, especially if you have a large org chart
