Default shape array not in visio 2003

I have a personal copy of Visio Technical that has the "Shape Array" feature
in the tools pull down menu. Our company upgraded to Visio 2003 standard,
and the Shape array is not to be found? Does this feature only appear in the
Pro edition? Has anyone else found this feature in Visio 2003 standard?
Thanks much.

As far as I remember the installation of some of the addons can be
disabled during installation. Might be worth re-installing and
checking that all options are installed.

Hi Paul,

Is this with Pro only as I can't see it in Standard (03)?

Best regards

John

You are right, it doesn't seem to be in Standard ! Seems a very minor
level of functionality to be only in the Pro upwards. Also, who would
guess what its function was from its title? Shape Array? But then,
there are "Align Shapes", "Distribute Shapes" and "Layout Shapes" on
the Tools menu. Who would guess there was another option !
Hold on, that was all in Visio 2000. It's all changed. Who knows. It's
stuff I never use.

Paul, it is a small but very powerful tool that saves hours of drawing. It
allows you to make an array of columns and rows. I use it to design
electronic patch panel labels that require precision spacing. Once the first
label is made, you can then make an array of the shape and duplilcate as many
labels wide and deep as you need. I know you can copy and past, but you
can't accurately place each label as quickly and accurately as you can with
Shape array. Since I do not have a version of the Pro 2003 I do not know if
it's a part of the product. Thanks for your input. Gary
