Default How do I reinstall Word without CD?

1. Take a deep breath. Count to 10. Now exhale.

2. You asked how to reinstall Word with CDs. I said replied that it can't be
done - you need the CDs. You asked "???????????" I asked which part of "You
can't" I needed to explain to you. (Personally I thought it was rather
self-explanatory.) You went off the deep end.

3. Would you like to try again?

How do I reinstall Word 2000 without the CD?

Shortly after installing MSO Publisher 2003 Evaluation Kit, at the
request
of my boss, Word became buggy. May be coincidental. Lost ability to
'Print
Preview'. Can't control Portrait vs Landscape; things like that. I
thought to
uninstall & then reinstall Word.

PROBLEM: The person who originally installed Microsoft Office 2000
SR-1
Premium onto my laptop has 'disappeared', along with the CD.

Or go find the guy who stole the CD. MS might replace the CD if you
approach them correctly.

1newyorker

It was made pretty clear that you are not able to get Word without procuring it with money. There is NO freebies or is there any site on the Net where you are able to download Word. You will need the Office 2000 SR1 CD to reinstall. Another option is to find the person that took off with your or his CD's.

I understand. Sometimes we get so frustrated about something that we don't
think as clearly as we normally do. Get a good night's sleep.

Hi, 1newyorker,

It might be helpful to know that some lost, broken or missing software can
be replaced by Microsoft, but I believe that Office 2000 is no longer
available.

It may not help you now, but it might be good to know for future needs:

Thank you, Susan, that's the kind of quality answer I was searching for in
the first place. Very logical; I only wish you had been my first contact.
Have a great day! and thanks again.

JoAnn,

It appears to me via my threaded OE interface that the ?????????? response
was not to you, but to another poster. Hence (perhaps) the confusion on
both your parts.

Cheers,
