excel workbook acting weird
I have an excel workbook that I converted from text. When
I create formula in a cell (A1*2) it just displays the formula and not the result. I checked the options and it is not set to display formula. Also, when I transfer this sheet to access, I am storing the values in field A to a text field. THe value in A are S123, 87922035, etc. Some of the numbers get saved as 5.7273e+006 even thought they appear as numbers in Excel. Help please. |

You need an = sign before your (A1*2) formula.

Oops, hit send too fast...
If you *have* and = sign before (A1*2), then your cells are formatted as Text. Format them as General and reenter the formulae. I have an "=" sign in the beginning and also set the
format to "General". Also, the same formula works in another worksheet. -----Original Message----- Oops, hit send too fast... Did you reenter the formula after setting format to General?
