Default Leave cell blank when linked to another workbook

I want to keep cells blank (empty) when they are linked to
empty (blank) cells. How do I prevent the "0" from
showing up. Oh and the if the "0" is entered in a cell it
is a valid value. The link is simply =[Book3]Sheet1!A7
Oh and there can be no formula on the source workbook,
everything has to be done on the target.. any ideas?

Remove #$%^& from email address to send directly

thanks,

To make the cell *look* blank, you can change your formula:

=IF(=[Book3]Sheet1!A7="","",=[Book3]Sheet1!A7)
