Problem with Create, Reply, Forward
I have a problem with Outlook Express. It comes up fine, but when I click on reply or forward, it does not open up a window over the Outlook Express on the screen. It goes to a minimized window at the bottom of my taskbar, and then I have to click on it to maximize it so I can reply or forward the e-mail. This happens also when I go to create an e-mail. It only just began happening. I just installed an XP Upgrade for my former ME system. It started happening about 2 days before I installed the XP upgrade, so I don;t think it has to do with that. Dell had my uninstall and reinstall Outlook Express, but that didn;t help. Once I maximize the window, I can then work with it, and then send e-mails with no problem. I have had Outlook Express for many years and have never had this problem - Anyone have a suggestion on why and how to fix it. By the way, when I click on the Address book, that opens up correctly over the OE screen - but not the create, reply or forward. Please help if you can - It is a pain to do these two extra steps to send an e-mail. Thanks in advance. Elaine

Problem with Create, Reply, Forward
Can you see the window at all? Or just the minimized button on the
taskbar? If you can see a small window then: First, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the window and drag it to full screen size. Close the window using FileClose, or FileExit depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the last screen size used the next time you open the program. -- Bruce Hagen ~IB-CA~ "ELaine" wrote in message ... I have a problem with Outlook Express. Elaine Only the main OE window can open maximized, by default: StartProgramsOutlook Expressright-clickPropertiesRunMaximized (check). You can resize a message window to full screen but it will never open maximized: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/ans...new_window_max -- Kath Adams MS MVP - Windows (IE/OE) |
