Default database Word 2007 - send .dba via email

I've created a database through Word 2007 for several merge documents;
directory, letters, etc. I'd like to send the database via email to someone
who has Word 2007 also. I can attach the .dba file to the email and send it
but the recipient can't open it. When I go to "sent items" click on my
outgoing email and try to open the document, I can't open it either. What am
I doing wrong?

Do you really mean a .dba file? If you created it via Word 207 mail
merge it would typically me a .mdb.

Did you close any Word mailmerge main document that was using this data
source before emailing the data source?

The very least that you (and the user at the other end) will need to do
with any data source is save the appropriate attachment as a file in a
folder somewhere before trying to access it.

If none of that makes any sense, maybe you could spell out exactly how
you are sending the database.
